2. Assist in soliciting new businesses as potential New Chamber Members, as well as retaining current Members. For example, schedule time to do “drive arounds” with Director of Membership to drop off “New Member” packets as well as dropping by current Members business locations. Also, this is a “good will” program to communicate with current members with the intention of solidifying good member/chamber relationships and retaining these businesses as good Members in Standing.
3. Help “Mentor” New Members by introducing them to what the Chamber has to offer (see list) as well as introducing them to other Chamber Members.
What is an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce? - An Ambassador is a volunteering member, wishing to be a representative of the Chamber to assist members with questions and/or concerns about their membership; we act as a liaison between the member and the Chamber itself. We also act as the “good-will” individuals that represent the Chamber and its staff, to present a united front…to help the Chamber continue to grow, thrive and prosper.
When & Where: The Ambassador/Membership Committee meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon, in the Chamber Training Room.
